This policy describes The First Tick’s position on advertising, sponsorship, paid promotion, and affiliate arrangements. It is intended to make our editorial independence clear and to comply with applicable disclosure requirements, including Section 17(b) of the Securities Act of 1933.
1. No paid promotion of securities
The First Tick does not accept compensation, equity, tokens, warrants, referral fees, or any other consideration from issuers, underwriters, dealers, investor-relations firms, public-relations firms, or their affiliates in exchange for covering, mentioning, or recommending any security. Coverage is never sold, and no issuer pre-approves or controls editorial content.
2. If this ever changes
If we ever publish sponsored or paid content, or receive any compensation connected to coverage of a security, we will clearly and conspicuously label that content as sponsored and disclose the source, nature, and amount of the compensation, as and to the extent required by law (including Section 17(b)). Such disclosure will appear with the relevant content.
3. Affiliate links
The First Tick does not currently use affiliate links. If affiliate links are introduced in the future, we will disclose that the Publication may earn a commission from qualifying actions taken through those links, and such links will not influence editorial coverage of any security.
4. Author positions
Separately from advertising, the author may hold positions in securities discussed. Those positions, and the author’s trading-restriction policy, are disclosed under the Position Policy at thefirsttick.com/position-policy.
5. General advertising
The First Tick does not currently display third-party advertising on the website or in the newsletter. If general advertising is introduced, it will be identifiable as advertising and will not constitute an endorsement of any advertiser or security.
